Tropic Promotes Intake Orchestration and Process Adoption at Coupa Inspire

Tropic celebrated a major milestone in our strategic partnership with Coupa by sponsoring Coupa’s customer conference, Inspire.

The Tropic team walked away “inspired” by all the innovation happening in the procurement ecosystem, much of which is led by Coupa as the P2P leader.

During her keynote, Coupa CEO, Leagh Turner, emphasized the importance of focusing on the margin erosion zone – the space between how you are performing and how you need to be performing – to achieve your goals of growth, resiliency, and sustainability. In order to do this, companies should invest in margin multipliers, which include areas like sourcing efficiencies, productivity improvements, and supplier risk reduction.

One significant and relevant margin multiplier is the introduction of generative AI technology in the procurement process. AI will enable companies to comb through large datasets – both first party and community gathered – to drive strategic decision making and operational productivity gains. We see a bright future of generative AI innovations Tropic and Coupa will develop together for our shared customers.

On the show floor, we had engaging discussions with several customers who are looking to solve the pain point of procurement process adoption. Tropic’s partnership with Coupa exists to solve this problem – customers can use Tropic as the intuitive front door for any request. Customers can build their own custom, no-code workflows in Tropic and orchestrate approvals across multiple stakeholders, including legal, infosec, and finance before routing requests to Coupa for PO issuance, invoicing, and supplier payment.
